Chios worth many visits
For them who doesn’t know yet our beloved island,
Chios is an island in the eastern Aegean.Is very close to the coast of Asia Minor.
It is the fifth largest island in Greece and
the population lives in the city and in the 64 villages of the island.
Chios not accidentally named "Myrovolos." The scents of citrus fruits, bergamot mandarin but also the 'unique' mastic, will impress you !!

If you sit down here and relax, you could easily imagine...

Greenery, narrow streets, picturesque harbors and marinas, orchards, houses with gardens, windmills, monuments and lovely beaches
dominate the area of Vrontados.
One of the most important Byzantine monuments of Greece, the monastery Nea Moni in the center of Chios with remarkable frescos and mosaics.
South of the Chios city is the fertile plain of the island known as Campos, full of citrus fruits gardens !
The architecture of the area is impressive !
The Genoese and local aristocracy of Chios started building their mansions in the area in the 14th century.
(From the beginning of the 14. century until 1566 Chios was occupied by the Genoans,later on by the Turcs,
both had a big influence on the island.)
The best way to see all the island is to rent a car or a motorbike,also in the northern villages the roads are good.
Everywhere you will find marvellous beaches and of course places to have lunch, dinner, an ice-cream or a drink.

As you pass by Karfas beach in 2 Km is located Kosta's Rozakis workshop at Parodos 7 turn on the right.
There you can find nice sculptures on marble and Chios stones.
